Course Description:

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to manage, as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team, the installation of a range of networks, including internetworking, security and e-business integration.  This course provides essential skills and knowledge to build and manage network systems in a business environment.   Areas of study include installation and administration of Linux, Microsoft operating systems, networking security, testing and project management. The combination of core units and specialist elective units in this course may provide a logical pathway to vendor certifications such as CISCO CCNA program.

 

Entry Requirements:

• 18 years or above and have completed Year 12 (HSC) or AQF qualification (Diploma of Management or equivalent).
• Academic IELTS 5.5 overall, no less than 5.0 in each band or upper intermediate or EAP from approved ELICOS/ESL centre.
• Applicants with no formal qualification and who can provide evidence of relevant and sufficient work experience can be considered
